How do I know if euthanasia is right for my pet?

This will probably be one of the most difficult decisions you will have to make for your loyal companion. We know you will have questions and our veterinarians are here to answer them all. The topic of euthanasia is usually brought up by a veterinarian if your pet:

We will give pet owners some time to decide if they want their pet euthanized. In the meantime we can provide palliative care to alleviate any pain and make their last days more comfortable.

Is euthanasia painful?

No, we do everything possible to ensure your pet doesn't feel any pain or discomfort. The veterinarian will administer a sedative to your pet which calms them if they are nervous. The final injection is administered intravenously. Within a few minutes the medication takes full effect and eventually stops the brain, heart, and other vital organs.
